Empowerment for us at Bolo Bhi is simply imparting knowledge and enhancing skill sets. Until now we have conducted workshops on How to Stay Safe Online with different audiences in an attempt to enhance their knowledge and skill set to combat problems they may face in the online space. In addition to the tools they could employ there is emphasis on ethical practices – also with a focus on gender – and vigilant behavior that can prevent many problems from occurring in the first place.

These sessions are a two-way channel which not only allow us to share with our audiences but them to share with us due to the interactive nature of the workshops, and are a huge learning curve for us too.

As part of our Empowerment strategy, we are also donating computers to organizations that are working with underprivileged children and women to empower them with ICT training. We will also be running programs at these institutions to enrich the educational content and delivery. As a first step we have already helped in the setting up of a computer lab with 10 PCs each in Karachi and Lahore. This has been possible through the generosity of our friends and colleagues in the ICT community,
