About the Bolo Bhi Internship

The Bolo Bhi Policy Summer Internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students from any discourse interested in Internet and technology policy the opportunity to spend the summer contributing to the public dialogue on these issues, and exploring future academic and professional interests.

Who should apply?

We’re looking for students who want to spend the summer diving headfirst into Internet policy. Students from all majors and degree programs who possess the following qualities are encouraged to apply. We seek:

  • Students who are willing to turn up on time and have a positive attitude – regularity and the zeal to take initiative is what we are looking for

  • First-rate analytical, communications, research and writing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently; to work smartly and resourcefully in a fast-paced environment; and be amiable with fellow co-workers

We don’t want students who are going to turn up late or are merely applying to make their CV look good!

Interns are required to bring their own computer equipment. Interns will work full-time (10am-6pm) four days a week. Interns will work for 10 weeks during the summer of 2013 (June-August). Exact dates of the internship will be worked out by the intern and Bolo Bhi.

Interns will be expected to make substantive contributions to the field of Internet policy development in their respective country, including conducting policy research and analysis; attending government and industry meetings; and participating in other advocacy activities.

This will not be a paid internship. Successful candidates will be awarded with a Certificate signed by the Bolo Bhi Executive Committee on completion of the internship programme.
