Letter: Request to abstain from signing at WCIT 12

Request to abstain from signing at WCIT 12

To,
The Ministry of Information & Technology,
Government of Pakistan.
December 14, 2012
Dear Sirs,
In light of the recent events that have unfolded at WCIT 12, and the furor over the draft that has been presented, we request the Pakistani delegation to abstain from signing, come back to the country and discuss the issue with the relevant stakeholders.

No democratic government will ever sign off its citizens’ rights or make an agreement that adversely impacts its own people, and we hope the Pakistan government, in keeping with the spirit democracy, will not either.

Thanking You.

Directors,
